How to design your life with Maisha Hub

A friendly walkthrough of every module — from onboarding and the Life Chain to One Life Flow, the Maisha Performance Score, backups and the owner console.

Your journey, step by step

The three phases

  1. Set up — steps 1–8, first two weeks.
  2. Live the rhythm — steps 9–11, every day and week.
  3. Complete & renew — steps 12–14, yearly and beyond.

Step 1 · Day 1 · 5 minutes

Create your account

Sign up with email or Google. A short 4-question onboarding captures your name and time zone, your season of life, your current focus, and a first read on each life area. You land on Today.

Done when: You can see Today with your name on it.

Step 2 · Day 1 · 20–30 minutes

Write your purpose — vision, mission, values, life verse

Everything below hangs on this. Capture your life verse, vision, mission, core values and your season and roles. Already have them written? Use Import my goals to bring in your blueprint from Excel or CSV. These reappear on Today every morning.

Done when: Vision, mission and at least 3 core values saved.

Step 3 · Week 1 · 45 minutes

Set one aspiration per life area

Ten areas: Spirituality, Family, Health, Learning, Calling, Ministry, Finances, Friendships, Legacy, Recreation. Write one long-range aspiration for each — the person you are becoming in that area, not a task. Skip none; an empty area is a blind spot.

Done when: 10 aspirations, one per area.

Step 4 · Week 1–2 · 1 hour

Break each aspiration into growth milestones

Milestones are the lifelong stages that make an aspiration real — usually 3–7 per aspiration. They get numbered Area.N (2.1 is your first Family milestone), so you always know where an item sits.

Done when: Every aspiration has at least 3 milestones.

Step 5 · Week 2 · 1 hour

Choose 5–10 annual goals for this year

Pick the milestones you will move this year and frame each as a SMART annual goal. Choose its type — Achievement (a one-time win), Maintenance (a standard to hold) or Habit goal (scored from a streak) — and set its importance 1–5. Resist more than ten; the rest stay in your library.

Done when: 5–10 annual goals, each linked to a milestone.

Step 6 · Week 2 · 45 minutes

Turn goals into projects and tasks

Each goal becomes 1–4 quarterly projects, and each project a list of tasks. Nothing should hang: a project must belong to a goal, a task must belong to a project. Short on ideas? Suggest with AI drafts projects, tasks and habits for a goal (Pro and Ultimate).

Done when: Every current-quarter goal has at least one project with tasks.

Step 7 · Week 2 · 30 minutes

Install your habits

Foundation habits are the non-negotiable rhythms that hold your life together (prayer, exercise, sleep). Growth habits attach to a specific goal or project and retire when it closes. Set cadence, counts per day, colors, reminders and calendar times.

Done when: 5–8 foundation habits and a growth habit for each active goal.

Step 8 · End of setup · 10 minutes

Run the chain check — nothing hanging

The final step flags anything unlinked: an aspiration with no milestone, a goal with no project, a habit with no area. Fix each flag and your plan is one connected chain from purpose to today's task.

Done when: Zero gaps reported.

Step 9 · Every day · 10 minutes morning, 5 evening

Live it daily — Big Three, habits, 4P journal

Morning: read your vision, pick your Big Three (never more), check the day's blocks. Evening: tick habits and write your 4P journal — Progress, Perspective, Prayers, Praise. This is where the plan actually happens.

Done when: A daily rhythm you keep more days than you miss.

Step 10 · Weekly 20 min · monthly 45 min · quarterly 2 hours

Cascade weekly, monthly, quarterly

One place, one rhythm. Weekly: choose the week's tasks from your projects and carry forward what slipped. Monthly: check milestones. Quarterly: close finished projects and open the next ones. Each level feeds the one below it.

Done when: A closed weekly loop — plan, act, review, carry forward.

Step 11 · Weekly glance

Watch the score and the compass

Your Maisha Performance Score blends achievement (35%), maintenance (25%) and habits (40%) into one 0–100 number, and the Life Compass shows it per life area. Use it to find the neglected area, not to feel guilty — one area at a time.

Done when: No life area below your own comfort line for a whole month.

Step 12 · Through the year

Complete goals and milestones

Tasks close projects; projects close goals. A goal is complete only when you mark it achieved — 100% progress alone is not completion. Each closed goal ticks off part of its milestone, and its growth habits retire automatically.

Done when: Milestones flipping to complete, one goal at a time.

Step 13 · Every December · half a day

Review annually and write the legacy note

The annual review pulls an automatic snapshot of your year — goals closed, habits held, answered prayers, milestones reached — and asks for a legacy note. Then set the next year's 5–10 goals from the next milestones in the chain.

Done when: Year closed, next year's goals chosen from milestones.

Step 14 · Years, not months

An aspiration completes

When the last milestone under an aspiration is done, the aspiration is complete. Mark it, let the Timeline and Legacy Book keep the story, then write the next aspiration for that life area. The chain begins again one level higher.

Done when: A finished aspiration, a printed legacy chapter, and a new aspiration in its place.

1. Getting started

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Create your account at /auth using email or Google. First sign-in runs a short 4-question onboarding that captures your name and time zone, your season of life, your current focus and your starting sense of each life area.

You land on Today — your daily workspace. Everything else builds from there.

Everything you enter is private and available for export at any time.

2. The Life Chain — nothing hanging

“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” — Habakkuk 2:2 (NIV)

The heart of Maisha Hub is one connected chain, built in Maisha Life Architect at /architect in six steps:

  1. Aspirations — one long-range aspiration per life area.
  2. Growth milestones — the steps that make each aspiration real.
  3. Annual goals — 5–10 SMART goals framed from chosen milestones.
  4. Projects & tasks — the work that delivers each goal.
  5. Foundation & growth habits — the rhythms that sustain it.
  6. Review — the app flags anything unlinked so nothing hangs.

Already have a plan? Use Import my goals to bring goals, milestones and your Life Blueprint in from Excel or CSV instead of running the wizard.

3. Your 10 Life Areas & numbering

“Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” — Proverbs 4:26 (NIV)

Life is organised into ten numbered areas: 1 Spirituality · 2 Family · 3 Health · 4 Learning · 5 Calling · 6 Ministry · 7 Finances · 8 Friendships · 9 Legacy · 10 Recreation. Rename, recolor or reorder them from Manage areas on the Goals page.

Everything is numbered so you can always see where an item belongs:

  • Milestone — Area.N (2.1 = the first Family milestone)
  • Annual goal — Milestone.G
  • Project — Goal.P · Task — Project.T
  • Habits carry an H code linked to their life area

Lists sort numerically everywhere, so 2.5 always comes before 10.2. You can renumber your whole plan from Settings → Data.

Three goal types: Achievement (one-time wins, progress by %), Maintenance (standards with a desired range and warning threshold) and Habit goals (scored from a habit's streak). Every goal has an importance level (1–5) that weights its contribution to your score.

4. One Life Flow — daily to annual

“Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.” — Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)

Today is the single place you work the day. Weekly, monthly and quarterly looks-back live in Reviews, and unfinished work carries forward instead of disappearing.

Today (/today) is the daily face of the flow: your Big Three (max 3 tasks), habits due, scheduled blocks, vision reminder and nudges for anything slipping.

5. The Maisha Performance Score (MPS)

“I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.” — 1 Corinthians 9:26 (NIV)

A single 0–100 score telling you how you're actually living, updated in real time. It blends:

  • Achievement (35%) — weighted progress on one-time goals.
  • Maintenance (25%) — how close each standard is to its desired range.
  • Habits (40%) — active streaks and consistency.

The same numbers roll up per life area in the Life Compass, so you can see which areas are thriving and which need attention. A goal only counts as complete when you mark it achieved — not merely at 100%.

6. Foundation & growth habits

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Foundation habits are your non-negotiable rhythms; growth habits attach to a specific life area or goal and move it forward.

Habits group by cadence (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), support multi-count check-ins (tap three dots for a 3×/day habit), reminders, colors and scheduling on the calendar. Streaks and heatmaps show momentum, and long-dormant habits are suggested for retirement rather than silently archived.

7. Projects & tasks

“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” — Proverbs 21:5 (NIV)

Every project hangs off an annual goal and carries its code. Work them as To do / In progress / Done with sub-tasks, due dates, quarters and colors. Tasks can be marked Big Three for the day and scheduled straight onto the calendar.

8. Journal, Reviews & Vault

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” — Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)

The My Daily 4P Journal (Progress · Perspective · Prayers · Praise) auto-saves and tracks answered prayers over time. Guided reviews run daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually with an auto-computed snapshot of your Big Three, milestones, projects and annual goals — plus a legacy note on annual reviews. The Vault and Timeline preserve lessons and the story of your growth.

9. Maisha Life Architect & AI Coach

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” — Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

The Life Architect drafts aspirations, milestones, SMART annual goals and habits from your own words — you accept, edit or write everything manually if you prefer. The AI Coach (/coach) knows your chain, habits and recent journal, so it coaches on your actual plan rather than generic advice.

10. Life Compass, reports & achievements

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” — Lamentations 3:40 (NIV)

My Compass sits at the top of Today and scores the health of each life area, counting goals, habits and recent activity. Use it to find the neglected area — one area at a time.

11. Export, backup, import & start fresh

“Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds.” — Proverbs 27:23 (NIV)

From Settings → Data, export a full JSON backup, restore with Merge or Replace, renumber your plan, clear goals and habits, or type RESET to start completely fresh. Your data belongs to you.

Owners and staff see an Admin link in the sidebar leading to a console with subscribers, plans, MRR and payment history. Owner accounts always have full rights and the highest plan by default.

14. The spiritual anchor

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.” — Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

Every core module surfaces a guiding NIV verse, and your life scripture, vision, mission and core values greet you on Today. Maisha Hub is designed to help you live intentionally, prayerfully and purposefully — not just productively.

15. Install as an app (PWA)

Maisha Hub installs to your phone or desktop like a native app, works offline, and syncs in the background. Use your browser's "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen" option.
